It sounds cheesy, but ’client partnership’ means
exactly that, and it’s what we do best.
We work with you to understand your organisation’s
promotional challenges and provide advice and
guidance on how best to meet them.
Every strategy we propose is targeted and
measured for real value add effectiveness.

design
Good graphic design is much more than about
making something looking nice.
It has to work.
Evolve has a deep appreciation of this balance and
has the creative skills and marketing experience to
get the communication mix right.
This includes everything from the copy and the
layout of marketing & promotional collateral right
through to recommendations on how best to use it.

video production
‘Corporate Video’ - two words which fill any
executive with dread. Not only by the prospect of
having to appear in one; but worse, because of the
endurance required to actually watch them.
Using broadcast quality production values across
the entire project, Evolve will research, script,
storyboard, shoot and edit your promotional film
with craftsmanship.
We know what buttons to press to cut a video, but
more importantly we understand how pictures and
sound work to tell a story.
And not a page curl effect in sight.

digital photography
A striking image can say so much more than
a whole page of text.
And through ‘digital darkroom’ techniques, we
can make a photo speak volumes… even if it
didn’t before.
We have the eye to produce some stunning
photography and the pixel power to then enhance
those shots to create images that didn’t exist before.
Images which work.

project management
OK, so we can make things look good and we can
make them work for you. But we don’t stop there.
We see every client commission as a working
relationship. Not just a one night stand.
Only by getting under your skin (and not on your
nerves) is it possible to really understand what you
and your objectives are all about.
And then we can help achieve them, in a
consistent, integrated and thought-out approach.

We can wax lyrical about how great we think we
are, but the important thing is how we help our
clients... and what they think of us. Here are a
few examples:
case study: Technicolor
Technicolor is a global market leader in film and
television content management and distribution...
and a household name. They came to us for help
in branding and marketing their international
Network Services division.
case study: London Stock Exchange
The London Stock Exchange is arguably the
financial centre of the business world. With an
in-house broadcast media centre, serving the
likes of Sky and the BBC, they’re no stranger to
creating powerful creative imagery. But even
the LSE had to evolve.

case study: Red Lorry Yellow Lorry
The Lorries are an innovative creative writing and
PR agency, helping their wide portfolio of blue chip
clients to use the right words in the right places to
enhance their brand and keep them in the industry
spotlight. They came to us for a new website, but
ended up with so much more.
case study: The Vision Charity
Vision is the official charity of the film and television
industries, working for the benefit of blind, visually
impaired and dyslexic children. To devise visual
communication materials for an organisation
targeting the visual communications market was a
challenge we couldn’t resist.

challenge:
Create a unique and distinguishable brand for
the Network Services division within the existing
Thomson Group and promote it internationally as
an established industry leader.
solution:
Through research and development, a logo
and comprehensive style tool kit was created.
Once integrated, the new brand was further
supplemented by an intense advertising
campaign and marketing collateral roll-out.
• Brand Development & Style Guide
• Press Advertising & Marketing Mailers
• Campaign Strategy & Implementation

“Evolve has helped us grow Technicolor Network
Services into a leading brand in its own right.
Their attention to detail, understanding of our
business and creative interpretation of our needs
is highly impressive.”

Senior Vice President

case study: Technicolor
Designing the Technicolor Network
Services logo was just the start.
From there came the job of implementing
the new style and developing the brand
across every element of visual
communication. This encompassed
style guide creation through to fit-out of
the client’s Chiswick Park reception –
interpreting their new look as
company décor.
Our work on the following press
advertisement campaigns ensured
their new brand was further enhanced
with innovative and evocative
marketing materials.

London Stock Exchange
challenge:
The LSE’s Media Department produce a
number of business television programmes
which are broadcast to company subscribers
over the web. ‘On The Flipside’ was one such
IPTV show, taking an alternative look at the AiM
Stock Market. Our brief was to come up with the
entire visual identity for the programme, from
logo conception through to colour scheme, title
sequence, animation graphics and interstitials.
solution:
We drew on typical 'stock market' elements - but
with a twist. Using the old style number flip boards
as a starting point, these were used to reveal the
logo, while their natural rotating properties helped
to play on the ‘flipside’ name. From there, with no
footage or material at our disposal, we set about
getting creative… and a little surreal!

"Evolve were able to bring 'On The Flipside' alive
with an outstanding opening title sequence. To
complete this within such a limited amount of time
is a real credit to the team. Everyone we've shown
it to has commented positively on it and the way it
works in opening the show and setting the tone
for the programme is very impressive.
Since Flipside we’ve worked with Evolve on a
number of television and marketing projects and
their high levels of professionalism, creativity and
service are second to none. Thank you!"

Head of Broadcast,

London Stock Exchange
Aside from the timescale, our biggest
challenge was to make a quirky and
exciting title sequence without any moving
video footage. After the logo was agreed,
we quickly identified the need to have a
strong business symbol to help link all of
the varied and juxtaposed imagery, hence
the bowler hat. The client liked this idea so
much, the hat even makes a cameo
appearance in the studio.
We worked extremely closely with the music
composer to ensure the music and graphics
complemented each other perfectly.
Since 'Flipside' we've worked with our
friends at the LSE on a number of different
briefs, including brand design and
development, animation graphics,
marketing strategy.

case study: Red Lorry Yellow Lorry
challenge:
The brief was simply to update their existing
website, a resource Red lorry Yellow Lorry use not
only for marketing themselves but also as a client
communication tool and brand value identity.
The Lorries had a pretty clear idea of what they
wanted… but was this what they actually needed?
solution:
Our approach was to really get to know the client;
to understand what makes them tick, how they
perceive themselves and to figure out where they
want to be. With this 'back story' in place, we were
able to present proposals which ticked all their
original brief’s boxes, but then offer ideas and
solutions which they hadn’t considered. The result
wasn’t just a new website but a whole new
corporate brand image.

What we liked most about Evolve's approach was
that they took the time out to get to know us as a
company to find out what we wanted to achieve
from our new look.

We thought we had a clear idea of how we wanted
our new website but after Evolve turned on their
creative charm they won us over with a completely
off-brief design! It’s a look we’re confident will work
for us for the foreseeable future. Great job!

This project gave us the opportunity to
do what we love doing – exceeding our
client’s expectations. First impressions
count, and we’re confident the Lorries’
new website will be the one potential
new clients remember as they search
the web. We identified their bold and
creative qualities and brought that to
the fore with striking, surreal imagery.
The architecture of the site is such that
it allows the Lorries to keep content
updated themselves via an online
CMS database. As part of our service,
we included full onsite training for this
as well as search engine registration
and a comprehensive web-statistic
analysis program.

case study: The Vision Charity
challenge:
Vision were looking for a totally new look, from logo
design to how they promoted themselves. They
approached us initially to concentrate on brand and
style design but the brief quickly evolved to providing
strategic assistance on full visual communications
and marketing.
solution:
Taking the children theme as our base we
developed a new corporate identity for Vision,
from logo design to style tool kits and collateral.
We’re now entering into the next phase of
implementing these new communications tools.
Much of this work is still under evolution – we’d love
to show you but we’d have to… well, you know the
rest. Please come back later to check out how
we’ve helped Vision.

“We gave them a tough brief, effectively re-branding
a long established institution within an industry
that’s all about looks. Evolve captured the essence
of The Vision Charity straightaway with a simple
but brilliant style.
A pleasure to work with, the [Evolve] guys just
understand what we we’re about and what we
want to achieve. I’ve no doubt our supporters,
and the children we help, are going to love it.
Thank you!”

With the all-encompassing brief of a visual
communication make-over, it’s early days
for this project.
A new logo is currently in its final stages of
evolution and from there we are working
with The Vision Charity on every element of
their marketing – from direct campaigns
through to web and print promotional
tools.
At the heart of our relationship with Vision
is a visual communications consultancy.
Please return for solid examples of our
work for them.
